UK Supplement Trends — June 2026: metabolism rises

Part of The Formulation Index, Supplement Factory’s monthly read on what UK brands are actually briefing us to make.

June was a broad, confident rise as the summer-body season took hold. The mineral base strengthened across the board, Zinc up fourteen points to 45%, Magnesium and Vitamin C level at 46%, and the metabolism actives stepped up to meet the season.

Ingredient in focus: Green Tea Extract

Green Tea Extract climbed to 25% of all quotes, its rise timed neatly to the summer-body window. Green Tea is the market’s default metabolism active, drawing on weight-management, energy and antioxidant claims all at once, and June is exactly when brands brief the products that support a summer goal. Its climb alongside a broadly rising base marks the start of the season when metabolism and “feel good in summer” formulations are most in demand. For any brand in the weight-management or energy space, this is the busiest briefing window of the year.

What else moved

Selenium held at 18% and Creatine at 12%, while Vitamin D3 recovered slightly to 34%. The overall picture was strength and breadth: a market in good health, with demand rising across categories rather than concentrating in one.

What it means for brands

June’s lesson is about seasonal alignment. Summer demand favours metabolism, energy and hydration, and the actives that serve those goals, Green Tea, Caffeine and electrolytes, are at their most relevant now. If your product speaks to a summer goal, this is the moment the market is listening. The broad strength of the month also signals confidence: when demand rises across the board like this, it is a good time to bring a well-timed product to the table.

Confidence built into July, which delivered the strongest surge of the year.
